Hello,

Chad from Tucson, AZ here. Currently looking for a bike but hopefully will get more into it with all the knowledge on this site and others around.

Hey folks,
newbie from Singapore, as my nick suggests, I'm a kiwi, been here 12 years, had a number of bikes (Currently Ducati 1198s and KTM200), thought I'd do something different, been watching Cafe Racer TV and decided I needed a new bike.
For those of you that know anything about Singapore, old bikes are kinda scarce, so I'm going a little newer and ALOT more common.
the standard commutor over here is a Honda CB400 Super4, they've been going for about 20 years. I managed to pick up a 1998 for cheap and now the work begins...

Hey everybody,

Hello everyone,

My name is Paco and I just bought a 1972 cl350. I have always loved motorcycles but never owned one until now. Knowing how I love to challenge myself and also being a newbie to motorcycles I decided to do a small custom build to my bike. Nothing too extreme. So now the bike is completely broken down except for the engine. I will be staring a thread soon and I'm gonna need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance guys

High all, I'm Dave, and though I'm somewhat new to Cafes, I'm in the middle of two builds, a CB400F for my wife and a CB500f for me.
I live in a very rural area of the southwest US. And I now find myself scouring the countryside for bikes and am getting a collection of "barn" finds, my 500 being the latest and best.

My name is Rick and I live north of Dallas. Been lurking as a guest and finally joined. I currently have four bikes, two are running and two are projects.

This is a resto project. It is a one year only import to the states and was purchased new by my dad for my brother. Now I have it.

Still very much a project.

Hey All,

I've launched a new vintage/custom website called Sparrows Vintage Motorcycle Club (www.sparrowsvmc.com). Our goal is to be an online magazine and social hub for motorcycle gearheads like us. We aim to bring together the community of custom, rat, bobber, chopper, cafe racer, and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts with suppliers, services, and forums to get the info, parts, gear, and conversations that you are looking for.

Check it out and let me know what you think... Any feedback is appreciated.

We're based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, so hopefully in the near future we will organize some group rides with local riders. Join us today!

Hi DTT...

I'm a novice wrencher with a seldom-coveted 1981 Honda CM400 C. I seem to always find new issues to work around, so I'll probably be hitting a bunch of you up for questions, pics, advice, etc. I may even line some of your pockets in my quest for parts and cool bells and whistles.

Glad to be a part of this sturdy little space!

Hello to everyone at DTT,
I've just been turned on to cafe bikes and decided to start doing some research on what it would take to find one and rebuild. I'm a Medevac pilot in the Army with 9 months left on my deployment so I've got plenty of time to line things up and hopefully get started when I get home. I'm a little unsure how to start things off. My initial thought was to find what I wanted as the end result and then do some backwards planning until I find my start point. That's proving harder than I initially thought so I was wondering if I could get some advice. It will be my first build so I'm looking for something not too challenging, parts easy to find and hopefully not too pricey. If all goes well I will up the ante on the next one. I've seen some late 60's cb450's that I liked but I'm open to suggestions.
I'll try to get back regularly but my internet access is somewhat unreliable.

Hello! My names Jeff this is my first build, I've been working on a Honda CL450 for almost a year and im just about finished. Just lights battery and wiring to do. regards, Jeff

G'day all. Im a young fella from NSW Australia whos only just gotten my hands on motorbikes (since Novemeber last year actually) and Im currently on a 1985 Honda VT500c American model. Ive been turning spanners on cars before but now Im onto bikes and using your wonderful site for ideas :)

So I'll probably be asking a feq questions because I'm already in love with brat styles and bobbers ;D

What's up everyone!! If you couldn't tell I LOVE CAFES!! I was always in to cars and going fast but not until about 4 years ago did I become interested in all things moto. I respect the guys running around on aprillias, 1198s and ZX10's and such but my love is in vintage bikes. Funny thing is.. I DON'T EVEN OWN ONE!! HAHAHAHA I've been lurking forums for a while narrowing down what I want to buy and start as a project. Its either going to be in the CB family or an XS650. At some point I know I will have both. So I'm here to learn and suck up all the knowledge I can get. I really enjoy reading the build threads.

Hi bike virgin :-* I was given 2 bikes recently with no titles a estate sale, wonder how much trouble it is to get a title? any help would be very nice thanks. :-*

Hey folks. Don from Toronto.

This year I picked up a 1984 CB550 Nighthawk. Not yet a cafe bike by any means. But I'm looking to get started on some of the basic repairs it needs to keep me riding reliably. I by no means am a wonder with mechanics, but I'm dying to learn all I can with this bike.

It runs great when the hydraulic clutch isn't leaking fluid. Which is project #1.

So I hope you guys are all ready for stupid questions, cause I'll have them.

gonna be hard to cafe that nighthawk lines are abit off but if you're up to the challenge it can certainly be done and nighthawks are great bikes to have welcome to DTT.

No harder than "cafe-ing" your typical Jap cruiser.. ie. xs400,cb,VX ect...which is what we all do.
