Well, I sold the CB450 yesterday.
I got what I had into the project +$100, so not a bad deal!

I'm searching for a bike build at them moment, but I'm not sure where a good place to start is. Maybe you can help a brother out?

I love the concept of the TW200. That thing just looks MEAN. I don't do much highway cruising, mostly just ripping it up around town to the store and back, or to visit the GF.

I would like to build something similar, and I've searched the trackers subforum, but haven't found the inspiration I'm looking for. The Deus Ex Machine "Mono" and Icon "Snake Charmer" bikes are as close as I can find as to what is in my head.

Does anyone know of a good platform to start with? I'm not a huge fan of the side exhaust many tracker bikes have. I burned the sh*t out of my leg as a kid on a hot pipe, and i've sworn them off completely. And while I rarely ride long distances, if I did happen to, I feel like that pipe would get extremely hot after an hour or so.

What do you guys think/what bikes in the category look cool to you?

Here's the CB before I sold her. I left the brat seat out of the pic for some reason...Idk why now.

A Norton highrider replica with the tank the just way it is and no cosmetic work on any part other than hand polishing.....Kenda whitewalls in OEM sizes

I'm looking for something with a little more of a dual sport "pedigree" if that makes sense.
But I LOVE the yellow, I have a thing for yellow bikes... ;D

Start trolling craigs see what sticks its nose up. I enjoy the shit out of my 360; I'm having a blast building my 450 and I will have a 500-550F one of these years. I like the smaller twins/4's then I like small bikes since I am a smaller dude. Don't need a big fugly cruiser to fall on my ass and kill me. ::) ;D

Ya, "cause those are floating around all over the States for reasonable cash... ::)

Try a Honda tlr200. I had one in good nick a while back. It was too nice to cut up so I sold it stock. But I always thought it had the right vibe for some molestin'.

If your after a tracker yamaha has always done it best. Xs tracker parts are cheap and poor people have running riding racing them since they were new. The mile would not be what it was and is with out the big yamaha twins.

And Cory... Brads dead on. Find a beat up old XS650 if possible. The aftermarket is huge. First stop, Omars Dirt Track.

Frogman...l've used Craigslist to find most of my bike , some even given to me just to get them out of the yard. l now have 12 smaller bikes ... l also have a 800lb VTX crusier which l plan on selling...haven't riden' it for month as l screwed up my right knee and feel a little unstable try to glance this monster...don't get me wrong it's a sweet bike but l'm into building smaller Cafe's now like the Honda fours. riding them showing them at local shows, and even picking up some restorations jobs...so it's working for me now....So guys keep looking there's a lot of bikes still out there and good luck Jimmiejoe

I have no idea what half of that back and forth was about LOL

Anyways, I was keeping an eye out for Yamaha RDs, perhaps? What else is in that category? It doesn't have to be two stroke....

I saw someone on here building up an RT-360 by Yamaha, as well as a DT-360.

I guess my question is, what companies should I be looking at/not looking at?

Like, "so and so made a horrible whatchamacallit, stay away..."
