Been Around the Block
Come to find out, Barton county Kansas has a flat track race, so me & a few buddies head out there...
Funnily enough, it was a dirt road to the track!

So I got cruise the pits to check out the old iron.
The guy that rides this bike comes running out throwing his gear on, looks around then points at me & one of my buddies, "Hey! can you guys give me a push?" We happily agree to but right as he gets ready to hop on this thumper, they announced something & he didn't need to go.
That guy was FAST & put a hurtin' on everybody.
The first Norton I've seen or heard... My ears had an orgasm.
I wish I could afford a Norton.
This guy was pretty quick on his Yamaha thumper (SR or TT 500?) & we talked to the guy on the KTM five & a quarter in front of him.
They guy on the KTM was running Shinko 705's. Out of curiosity, I asked him how he liked 'em (what I put on my KZ650B, just waiting on the motor to get done) he told me, "Ask me in half an hour... This is my first time!"
I didn't get a chance to catch back up with him but he didn't crash.
They had a class with nothing but converted Honda 450 MXer's. These things were HAULING ASS.

It was a blast! There was a XR750 that wiped out the vintage class where the Norton was running which sucked cause I was rooting for the Norton. God the Norton sounds sexy & the XR sounded pretty damn good too, totally not HD sounding. I was only interested in the vintage stuff & I was hanging out with a bunch of retiree aged guys so now I know about the blue streak, the steel plate thingy they put on their left boot & castor oil. Incredibly neat shit!
This stuff is like crack! I want an old thumper so freakin' bad now!
