I'm on jeepkings too. I haven't got around to placing an ad there. $400 is cheap compared to others I've found. I'll need a driveshaft and shift console for the swap as well. If I send in my core I can get a rebuilt unit for about $800.
thanks....they are YJ rims that I got after the stock rims got stolen off my jeep. I sanded them down and painted them to match the body. Then decided to also sand down the whole undercarriage and paint it as well
Re: what about TRUCKS / JEEPS... Here's my '95 YJ.
Just put the safari rack on today. Used the winter to fix everything I broke wheeling in the summer. Basically rewelded the whole drivers side frame rail. All good now though.
Jeep is going to have to take a rest now though... onto my new project, the '79 cb750.
sharp jeep! i love a good YJ!!!! dig the fender flairs man!!! sharp ride... i used to have a great write up on how to make cheap cable locker mod cause the vacume lockers fail alot! i did it on mine and LOVED
Those fender flares are basically knock off bushwhackers. I found a company on ebay (TAG) that basically reproduces BW's for half the price. $200 for them.

First...Very cool jeeps guys.
My youngest son has an 01 with a 2" lift and 30x950s. It looks real sharp but it's nothing special.
Hey Joe, I did the same mod on my older son's S-10. It has a ton of mods. We cut all the independent front susp. and welded up a custom crossmember. Built a spring pack from GMC (rear) and jeep springs and used a D-30 from a YJ. changed gearing to 4:10s. I did the cable/actuator mod but never really got it dialed in. I used a small engine throttle cable but it was a little too light. It would have worked great but the lever was a little light.
The coolest mod on the truck (IMO)was the diamond plate and tube bed/roll cage. The interior was like new. It was out of a toyota cellica and it had a chevy lumina steering wheel. No real engine mods and 33x12:50s finished it out. I'll have to post some photos when I get the chance.
Hey is there anyone from Hamilton, Ontario ??? A friend of mine wants to buy a Jeep CJ5 off someone from Hamilton and wants to take it to a shop to get it looked at.....wanted to take it to Midas !! but I think a place that actually does mods on Jeeps might know a little more no??!!!
so if anyone knows a place please let me know.......going tomorrow to take a look at this Jeep
