I Know they look stupid and putting them on a V50 is just plain wrong and may make it handle like sh#@e but i'm thinking over all look. like i say i dont know if i want to do it or not but couldn't search for them if i didn't know what i was after.
You can use a cable actuated remote master cylinder. My BMW R75/6 has it stock - the m/c is under the gas tank, but there are others out there too. Has been some discussion on it. So you can have a brake cable in the bars going to a master cylinder somewhere else.
Indeed tim, your right. infact the V50 should have that set-up mine however has one from a cb250 superdream i belive. may think about getting a guzzi one with the cables (the reservoir has the pipe blanked off so easy to refit. here is a shared reservoir as the foot brake is liked with one of the front disks.
You've got a couple different styles of bars in those pics. The last ones look A LOT like the stock bars on my '07 Royal Enfield. They can be had for not a lot.
Yamahas newer v star line up has those bars on them, the 950 and 1300 models that have a great ride and feel to them, super comfortable. Maybe see if anybody is getting rid of a set on ebay or craigslist.
