I build these 1/64th scale trucks as a hobbie and have recently considered building them as kits and selling them. I have saved up a good bit and have the money for the initial start up for everything.
Anyone else on here started a small business? What are some pointers for the initial start up?
It's hard to tell what the quality is like with those pics to be honest.
I like what you are doing, but I'm not sure there would be a market for these sorts of kits (IE people would probably want to build them from scratch like you have?).
Yeah I took the pictures with my phone. Most all of the trucks made in this scale are handmade. But there aren't many overall. In germany the do table top trials and those trucks are 1/87 scale. But it just isn't popular here as much i guess do to the work and everything that goes into making them. It takes me around 3 hours just making the frame on the little tube buggies.
I figure if i can actually produce them i could get them out for less than 100 dollars and possibly increase the interest and popularity of them.
Also, i plan to make these fully remote controlled. These two are just in the process of being built.
Right now I'm just shopping around to get a general pricelist and it doesn't look too bad just kind of hoping for interest in it.
By the way, Anyone know of a small drill press for a decent price?
