A few of us were at my place havin' an easy Saturday afternoon bbq. One of my pals went to take a ride on one of the bikes. it had been almost 2 hours of drinkin and shit shootin' before we realized he hadn't been back yet. I should have know that something was up when he finally returned, pulled directly into the garage and quickly closed the door!
I decided to meet my folks at church the next morning. On the way, I got pulled over on that same bike. Apparently, this angry officer and the other two squad cars that showed up had a bone to pick. As luck would have it, my buddy apparently took them on a chase of my town for over an hour! Nothing they could do to me... but that made things tough for me in that town for years after!!!
NICE! I used to jump my Buell every day. Their was a nice set of RR Tracks that it you hit in the right spot you could jump really far. No where as high as the picture above.
i had a 78 honda hawk 400... i used to take it off jumps & lay it down, bust blinkers, bend the shifter... put some yellow electrical tape around the bulb, kick the shifter back into place & off i go... ahhh, to be 18 & not give a fuck about anything.
Haha, the hell with PBR! I'll post you over a bottle of Boingk's finest.
On mates riding bikes... they might have to ride mine now - I recently lost my licence.
The XR600R is my commuting tool and I had a bad morning. Couple that with being late for work and I'm heading around a corner leant over on the knobblies, pushing 50 and accelerating like mad. Give the nod to a fellow going the other way and wondered why he was looking behind me, and didn't nod back. Looked in my rear-view and saw a big car that had a dash going ballistic with red & blue.
Pulled over, copped $1000 in fines and lost my licence effective as of February. Damn.
Got done for 'Exceed limit >30km/h' and 'Negligent Driving'. The first one is legit and he actually downgraded it from the next one up, saving me an extra 3 months loss of licence and around $700 in fines. The actual charge for more than 30 over is 3 months loss of licence and $700 fine.
Neg driving was a technical one because I had a slight front wheel lift as I took off from the lights. If I'd known I'd be paying $350 for a wheelie I would've made it a good one hahaha.
We might project an image as a laid back kinda place, but get on the wrong side of the law and you'll know all about it. Our police force are freakin' Nazis.
