Hey guys. What've s this and do I need it? Getting ready to rewire with new R/R battery and all new harness. Want to keep it as simple as possible.

It's a diode that works in conjunction with your starter switch, clutch switch and starter motor. It makes it so that if the engine is in gear, the starter motor won't work unless the clutch lever is pulled in.

Ok thanks. So I can scrap that then. I don't even have a clutch switch hooked up.
