Hey guys. I have been doing a little research to find a good aluminum polish for my cafe project but there are SO many companies and options that I do no know which to choose from. HELP!! What are some of the techniques and wax's/compounds/sprays/etc. that you guys find work the best? I have a buffer wheel on a bench grinder that I plan on using as well as an assortment of Dremel attachments. Any advice would be great.

Finer and finer wet/dry sand paper.
I start with 400 grit and go from there.
Then Mothers.
Stock up on elbow grease.

+1 on Mothers, but use the Billet Aluminum, not the Mag wheel aluminum. Big price difference, and it shows

where the hell do you guys get autosol???? i cant find it anywhere locally in cincinnati! i use mothers mag polish and its CRAP!

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to try a few different things and see what works best.

BTW - if you're using a buffing wheel etc. you want to be using polishing compounds (black, red, white etc.) Autosol would be a final polishing method, done by hand usually. Good for maintaining a polished surface.

What is a good compound for buffing wheels? I will be using a bench top buffing wheel as i mentioned
