Ha! Can't believe this thread made it five pages without that^^^^

Personaly, I like Bass. I should prolly drink more micro brews, being that I live right next to "Beer City USA". In Asheville NC, you can't swing a dead hippie without hitting a brew pub.

Now if hanging out with a bunch of you guys at Barber didn't give it away this thread really illustrates that I'm in the right crowd. If the original question had been answered with a chorus of 'Budweiser' and 'Heinekein' I would have started to worry.

I'm really a fan of wheat beer, IPA and others of the light colored variety. Blue Moon is a good 'go-to' for me but also Hoegarden. Someone already mentioned Chimay, that stuff is excellent. I like several varietys of Sam Adams. Alas, I am now a starving college student and (when I can afford it at all) have been reduced to drinking PBR.

My favorite thing about beer is that I seem to never run out of new kinds to try. Last year I got to attend the Raleigh Eurobike Rally and the World beer festival in the same day. I just don't know if life gets any better.

Here is the junk I like:

Irish Death- Iron horse brewery,
Newcastle Brown Ale
Killians IrishRed- cheap-ish and decent
Guinness
Blue moon
Modelo Negra
Sessions
Red Stripe

Just picked up A PT. of Samuel Smiths - Nut Brown Ale. anyone had it before..

As I type, kicking back an "Old Speckled Hen". A nice enough brew, don't know though if I totally believe the blurb on the side of the can though, "A distinctive rich malty taste, bursting with character, fruity aroma and deliciously smooth". Brewed by Morland Brewing in Suffolk, Blighty.
Probably the most interesting thing about this fermented malt bevvy is the fact it's named after a race car that was built in the old "Morris Garage", which eventually became MG, probably a lot more familiar to most of you.
Love the old Brit cars, total chick magnets (I had a MG Midget about 3 weeks after they'd invented the wheel LOL) but christ they would start to rust if you sneezed in them... and don't even get me started about the electrics..
Have a Merry Xmas,

Ah... I love that stuff! I have a special fondness for it. Ever since a poker party I attended many years ago, my soon to be X bro-in-law has gag reflex at the mere mention of it!

Also love their Oatmeal Stout!

Anchor Steam,Red Stripe,Dos Equis,Fosters, and some of the local microbrews if they dont overdo the malt.bj

I am a huge fan of craft/micro brews. In Indy, we have had a boom in craft breweries over the last 2 years. There are 5-6 breweries within a 45 min drive to get fresh brew. Sun King Brewery, one of my local favs, has $5 growler fills on Fridays.

I have brewed my own before but just build equipment for my buddies to brew with and drink their beer. Right now, I have a Stowe's Special Reserve Bourbon Barrel Ale brewed by Jordan (JSJamboree here on DTT).

I'm really dig'n the Innis & Gunn beers.. =)

My favorites generally come from the local craft breweries in my area (Wisconsin).

Favorite brewers are New Glarus Brewing Company, Ale Asylum, Minhas Brewery, Capital Brewery and Grumpy Troll Brewery.

My favorites by far are New Glarus Spotted Cow and New Glarus Totally Naked

Trois Pistoles is amazing! ;D

Negro Modello is good.

Youngs Double-Chocolate Stout gives me warm comfy feelings inside. :p

BUT my current favorite is Samuel Addams Bonfire. 8)

The "beer" of choice in the pixie household this holiday season.........

A lovely scrumpy apple cider (not the stuff kids drink) and despite only being 4.7% abv always seems to induce a coma like sleep. Of course its a bonus when it comes in a container that is suitably sized to reduce the number of times you have to go and get another one from the fridge :p

The container is cool but I would be afraid someone might replace it with piss and recap it :(

Having seen this post, Mrs Pixie has asked me to point out that she won't be drinking any of the orange pish and that she does not want her good reputation tarnished (stomach probably will end up "tarnished" drinking Black Rat) bt being associated with people that drink this stuff. She also asked that the world know that her tipple of choice will be this.....
