What to do with this?

Hi y'all, noob form New Zealand here (have shown my face in intro' section).

I'm after some suggestions on what to do with this.
'63 Yamaha YD3 (250 2 stroke twin)

I pulled out of my nieghbours shed a couple years ago and i've been shifting it from one shed to another since lol.

It's missing quite a few bits and the bits it's not missing are pretty well stuffed, BUT it seems a shame to bin it.
It's one redeeming feature is the motor is still "free"
Parts down here are non-existant

Tough call, your free bike will turn into a several thousand dollar bike in no time if you attempt a resto. I don't think it's worth fixing, but those wheels look good. That front brake is cool.

Man, that is a rough bike :'(

I would hate to see it thrown out, but like DrJ said, it could easily need a few grand to get it up to par

Ooooh, boy. How much money and time do you have? The answer should probably be "plenty", if you want to make a project out of it.

I'm kinda with you all, it'll take more time, money and patience than i've got.

The reason i "saved" it is it's rarity, but because it's rare so are parts. Alot of bits are available on ebay but i don't think all the parts needed would be.

Next question, what would be worth saving, for either use on another bike or for spares for someone with a YD2 / 3 or YD3S.

Its very restorable if, like has been said, time and money are plentiful. My thought for it would be a really cool cafe. Scrap the unboltable stuff down to the bare frame and go from there. If you look at as something you don't want to restore then using "non period" parts that are more readily available make sense. And as I said t could be a cool cafe.

if you decide that it's to much of a project for yourself offer it up on trade me and the like, I think you'll be surprised, would be a cool bike though
