Ive got this 97' V6 Mustang, She was product of circumstance. I never "wanted" a Mustang but because my 87 VW Fox got smucked I needed wheels and it of all cars it wasent anything to sneer at. Ive since bought a computer programmer for it as well as new 17" wheels to go with the future mod of V8 brakes. A few months ago I was starting to get serious about a 2010 Challenger R/T 'till the wifes 01 Malibu went for a crap...Which brought on the the 2010 Jeep Liberty and a pile of debt... Now in the summer I never spend much time in my cage unless its raining or I'm going to Edmonton for the day (3 hours one way) or home (10 hours one way). My truck was relegated to boat towing duty in the summer for and full time winter duty. With the "womans" new Jeep the truck no longer needs to haul the boat or sleds when I get a trailer for them. So the truck will be open for more extencive mods. (The truck was my first vehicle 7 years ago and will be with me till I die) I clearley dont need any more cars. But the Mustang has developed a void or just lacks what I want. Because of the Jeep I cant afford to borrow anything for another toy nor do I want to, I prefer to own my stuff outright.

So the question begs:

Keep the Stang as is and use it on occasion and mod lightly,
Sell the V6 and buy a GT for a little more to sell in the future for a Challenger,
Sell the V6 and use the cash for the bike, truck, boat.

I would like to keep the Mustang funds in with my toys funds (refrence motorcycle money thread) Oddly enough Ive never actually sold any of my toys before as you can see... Im a little nervous about the idea.

From someone who also has lots of toys (mostly musical), I'd say, while the Challenger is an awesome gas to have, pass on it for now. I bet you can get one 1 or 2 years old and used in great shape in a year or two. See if it's really gonna be as hot in 2 years to you. I'd sell the 'stang and whatever else to get some collateral to do that truck up good. Mustang's have a lifespan, but a good used truck can last a lifetime if you treat it well.
I truck is like a mechanical dog. It'll do you well if you do it well.

I can't agree with you more. I have a 1994 F-150 with the original 5.0 and auto trans that I put 264,000 miles on. No rebuild, just very meticulous 3K oil changes. Oh yeah An this was my first car when I was 16 so it didn't live a pampered life either... I drove the piss outta the thing... Still runs, very well I might add. For sentimental reasons I am pulling the motor, giving it a massage and putting it in a 66 stang. I figured that that motor will live on in my family for as long as possible, how cool will it be to have a car powered by the same motor that was in your first form of transpo...

When it comes to the Challenger it will be brand new with under 20km on it and with exactley the options I want/ rather without the crap I wont want. Just gotta get that Jeep payed for first.

What I might get for the stang very well could finish the bike nicely and get a new top end for the Dodge.

Go for it, sell the stang.

sell the mustang. they dont make all that much power and dumping money into them is a waste IMHO.

fix the truck up a bit. use that as a DD or the jeep. no point in selling the other toys as insurance on them isnt as high as it would be for the car.

It's tough letting go. I tried to sell my 72 Chevy pick up twice and both times backed out. When it comes to tools, fugetaboudit, can't and won't give 'em up. I'd say keep the truck sell the Stang, build a kick ass bike and while pondering what to do with the rest. Good luck deciding that one. :)
