i'm looking to buy this honda it's a 1971 is it a CB?

Actually it's an SL350, the offroad version of the 350 family and the rarest. Probably the best one for a cafe build due to it's all tube frame and no starter motor. But comes with a 21" front wheel that should be replaced with an 18". Since forks are a bit long, best to replace a complete front end from a CB.

I thought that it was an sl350 I checked out the wiki site and knowing that this was dual purpose thought it was an sl.
I don't like that it has drum brakes if I switch the front forks with a cb's I could switch the brakes then at the same time right

ya, you can easily convert to a front disc. However drums are pretty cool and give the bike a nice balance and vintage feel imo, just something to think about before you go for the disk.

What are the benefits of drum brakes? I know their lighter, but I also know that they are hard to replAce right?
I want to cut this bike up a bit, how is it different than a cb? I'm looking to change the front and want to try to modify it to a single shock in te rear.
Also I'm mildly obcessed with turbos, Any thoughts?

Im not really sure if there are any benefits besides aesthetic..
As for the turbo and monoshock, Id probably go for a simpler build if this is your first one. Im not really doing anything crazy, just a complete tear down, and I feel like I almost bit off more than I could chew for my first build.

As far as the turbo it's not really going to happen but I will speculate until itdoes forever from now.
I think I could do a mono shock, I've done major major car rebuilds but now is the time to get into motorcycles cause I bought a hybrid Econo-go box
