Overall looks pretty interesting . . . surprised by how unfinished the rear brake mount looks though. Does it have a title?

Great point. I didn't even consider that.

Offer $800 less than your top dollar and go from there.

Is the tank metal or glass?

Find out about the frame- is it a reproduction? Does it have a VIN?

What's been done to the engine?

I have to talk to the guy later on and see whats up with the specs but i guess if i offer 800-2500 he will hang up on me at least that is what i would do . :)

Buckeyebike has it right. Pick a price that you won't go over, and start 800 less than that. The idea is to keep as far away from your walk away price as possible.

To clarify, I did not say to offer $800. I said offer $800 less than your top dollar and negotiate from there. If you offer him anything less than $3500, it would be an insult as it is worth close to that in parts.

Most importantly, does it have a title.

Under $6000 sounds very good to me.

I'd offer towards $5000.

In the UK you'd struggle to get a decent Commando for £5000 thats around $7750.

So strikes me as a good deal.
