What year and model honda is this?

FYI-the article is about a completely different bike, that just happens to be another honda at the shop. Is it a 450? What year had that tank? And what's up with the pipes?
 
I believe (and im no wing expert) that is a CL model based on the high pipes. size would prolly be a 350 or a 450 sounds about right..other than that i couldnt tell ya...
 
year i have no idea would guess early to mid 70's?? The high pipes were popular at the time on a lot of bikes, Triumph used em Yamaha used em etc...on smallish displacement "Scrambler" style bikes, designed for multi-use on paved and dirt roads and semi off road use, alot of people fitted them with knobbies, for dirt use. The pipes were set high to avoid damage from brush and rocks and debris. They were popular amongst dirt and ice trackers, and even road racers. Never owned one myself but there are at least a couple of guys here that do and they seem to be very good bikes.
 
The top photo is a close up of a CB450 motor. The bottom photo shows a smaller scrambler, maybe a mid 60's CL77 (305cc).
 
Hey J would that scrambler be a two stroke?? I cant really tell if thats an oil tank behind the motor there or not, like i said im kinda ignorant on hondas aside from the two ive owned. Just curious..305 single?
 
Hmm, it could be an early 70s CL125. For sure it's a 2-cylinder 4-stroke. No there's no oil tank behind the motor, it has a sump at the bottom of the motor. Most old Hondas are 4-strokes.

I believe that is a 305cc unit, some scrambler version of the Dream CL77. check here,

Thats got a wing emblem on the side of the tank??
 
Thanks for the info guys, I have the word out locally that I'm looking for basically the same bike in that picture and I'm trying to get someone to trade for my commando over the winter
