Whats all the ruckus about?

I was driving down the 60frw east the other night light traffic going around 50 mph.
Then I heard a buzzing sound.
And I thought hhmmm a two stroke what can it be?
An RD, H3, or maybe the dreaded widow maker.
NO it was a Honda Ruckus screaming by me going bout 60 plus mph.
Man that scooter was cooking.

HAHAHAHA. Several months ago I was driving near the 32nd street navel base in San Diego and I see this whole motley crew of a biker gang. About twenty or so guys on little scooters and mostly the Honda Ruckas. One was raked out, most of them had extended swing arms and ALL were colorful. Most the guys had that mohawk thing on their helmet.
I have to say though, thats pretty cool especially having the cajones to rock that ;D

You said you were on the 60, where abouts are you from?

G dang it- 50?!

I saw one in Milwaukee a couple days ago- loud like a thumper dirt bike, but it was a moped. I proclaimed- Damn, that thing was just a moped!- and my girlfriend pretended like it wasn't important.

Anyway, yeah they are popular for modifiers, but I had no idea they could hit 50. It was probably a big-bore kit....

Their quite a phew of them around here that are built up with extended swing arms and pipes.

There's a whole community around modding those things. They used to make the "Big Ruckus" which was a 250, but in Hondas usual bad decision making with it's scooter line up they stopped. I think that's why people buy the 50's and mod the shit out of them. The extended swing arm ones you saw are usually GY6 150 or 200's that they shoe horn into them.
