What's the alternative to RAL color codes

Hi all,

I've tried to search this on Google and on the forum, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.

For my new cafe bike I'm looking at the possible paint options and the colors to use. I went to this car supply shop and he told me that if my preferred color was not available as a RAL color (which is limited to about 210 different colors) I could give him the color code and he could make this color for me. But when I try to find the colors online, it seems like you always have to use the original color code from the car/bike.

Does any of you know where you can find an overview of the possible colors and their specific color codes? I could also just make up a color and have it scanned, but if I would need to repaint in the future it could be better to have an axisting color code available...

Any advice?

Thanks!

I'm confused. Do you want RAL 6033 and 8003? What type of product are you looking for? Paint in a spray can, powdercoat, automotive paint?

I'm not looking for a combination between RAL 6033 and RAL 8003, but for variations. The auto shop is capable of mixing any color I want and put them in a rattle can, but I want to see what the different color codes are. If I would need an additional can or a respray in the future, I can use the exact same color

Im a little confused about your question too...but here's the whole RAL color chart: http://www.ralcolor.com/

If what you're looking for isnt on there, then I would imagine you're looking at a totally custom mixed color. When you say variation, are you meaning minor tweaks in shade and such?

RAL colors don't have a paint code like most automotive paints. RAL are always solid, more pastel colors and don't include any metallics or Candies or anything like that.
