Hey guys I don't have an issues on my 81 Suzuki GS 450 with charging and I'm taking the battery out right now I noticed this wire coming out of the engine was connected to the negative lead on my battery.
I've been having charging issues for a while and I'm wondering did my mechanic put one of the wires on the wrong terminal.....yes I need a new mechanic in general for multiple reasons.
Thanks appreciate it, the PO made a mess of the electric. It's been connected to the - terminal and i am sure bolted to the engine as well its secured.
Always a good idea to make up another one of these leads and ground from your -ve battery terminal to your frame as well as the engine. Sometimes the grounding through the engine to the frame by itself can be compromised over time and this can affect items you have grounded to the frame.
