Wheel Powder Coating ???'s

So I have a hub, spokes and nipples that I want to have powder coated. I would prefer to have it done before the wheel is assembled, but not sure what the best route would be. I was thinking that I would screw the nipples on the threads of the spokes so as to serve as a masking for the threads.

Does anyone have any ideas? Does the powder typically make the spokes too thick to slide through the holes in the hub.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Ryan

just look around for someone that has experience with spoked wheels. nipples have to be left off or the powder will get all kinds of f'd up when you remove them for reinstall...just have to chase it with a die. as for thickness, that is where experience comes into play. hell id just buy new nipples and have everything else powdered. mmm black rims and spokes with gold nipples. if only i had money. for me its krylon all the way! now that i think about it powdering the nipples might not be the greatest idea, since they are going to get some love from a spoke wrench, but then again ive never had it done...
