I have a 1976 cb750f bike. I like the look of the lester rims. My question is i was told that you can take kz750 rims and put honda rotors right on them. What year and is this true. Thanks for any help Andy!!!
The best advice I have is check www.bikebandit.com for the axle from your bike. Take the part #, copy and paste it to the search bar, and a window will pop up with the option "fits machines".
Once you find out what other models the axle fits, search DTT for a build by Traveler. I remember he used Lesters but can't remember the year / model of his bike.
Don't know why it bugs me so much, but, it does.
You want WHEELS
Using generic 'RIMS' when you mean wheels is an automotive aberration from a bunch of lazy asses who don't really know what the hell they are talking about.
This is a motorcycle forum, rims are the metal bands connected to hub by spokes. (car wheels were originally made the same)
It doesn't make anyone look 'cool' makes them look stupid
Anyway, the axle sizes are probably the same, easiest way to find out is search bearing numbers then look up bearing bore if necessary.
Anything can be made to fit anything , if you have required skills and equipment.
Your really asking if it's a direct bolt on, you would be better off asking at a specific Honda site that deals with CB750 http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?PHPSESSID=fdba6d610f6edaf0cf579f44f47fd383&
That I can tell you as I just dug wheel out of shed. ;D
Axle is 15mm in bearing and 20mm in fork leg.
6 bolt rotor on what looks like 80mm PCD (haven't taken it apart to measure accurately)
Thanks for changing title 8)
