Where is the Slide Idle Stop Screw on VM30?

Can someone explain to me where the Slide Idle Stop Screw is on the Mukuni VM30? I'm trying to do the drill bit method to sync them and everyone is referring to the Slide Idle Stop Screw, but I'm not sure where it is. Can't seem to understand the method 100%. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

post a picture of your bike

the idle screw is the brass one with the spring

Yeah - it's the big one perpendicular to the slide, knurled for use with your fingers and big exposed spring.

It has a large tapered end inside the carb that interfaces with a machined sloped surface on the slide, allowing you to fine tune the slide's resting position.

Easily visible in this picture - only spring you can see.

If your bike is a twin, I'm hoping you have a left and right carb body. They flip the position of the idle screw. This is nice, except it also means there is a left and right version of the slide which are not swappable.

So when you get to the point of having 4 bikes, all parallel twins with Mikuni carbs, you have a lot of left and right parts to remember ;)

Thank you everyone! I was able to get it figured out and used the drill bit method to get them all synced up!
