Where to buy aluminum stock?

Where do you guys get yours. I plan on making the herm/chrisf rearsets, but I don't know where to get the alum. from.

I like metal supermarkets because my local shop has some really cool guys. Check to see if there is a location close to you. My shop actually lets me walk around the warehouse and look for drops that they sell at a huge discount. The also are more than willing to order what i need.

Short of that, I've bought stainless and Ti from onlinemetals. Google em. Their prices suck, but they typically have what I need.

Oh, for 4130, I typically use aircraft spruce because they have damn near everything in chro-mo.

+1 for metalsupermarket... i'm always going little jobs that need a hunk of aluminum bar and they're open on saturday and don't mind cutting you off 6" or some stupid little amount like that... the 'real' metal dealers want you to take a 20 foot length...

Got mine from McMaster Carr.

Prices are OK, but they have a whole lot of what you might need for a rebuild. Got tubing, rubber trim, and a ton of stainless hardware from them.
