I'm finishing up getting my bike running, its a 78 550K, and i'd like to find some quality rearsets, I like the tarozzi sets but some sites I have found selling them said they did not make them for my bike. Anyone know a place where I can buy some quality rear sets online? Thanks in advance.

If money is not an issue, Get the Raask REar-set kit specifically for your cb550K at Omar's Cafe Racer...
He is the Raaks Rear-set distributor.

is raask the only company? i LOVE the tarozzi aluminum ones but apparently they dont make them for my bike.

You should consider the Tarozzi pegs/levers and get some brackets made up for your bike out of 3/8" aluminum. If you happen to know anyone with a machine shop or who works with metal, it's pretty simple to do. Not sure of the locations to bolt things onto on the 550 frame however.

RAASK is the only bolt-on kit I've heard of for the 550.

Oh, and if money isn't an issue, you could buy the RAASK set, buy Tarozzi levers and put the kits together (RAASK mounts with Tarozzi levers). Sell the RAASK levers and you're done. But it would be pretty expensive.

Not really answer to the original question, but I used universal non-folding tarozzis on passenger peg location. The shifter linkage is made from aluminum U-profile and the arm on gearbox end is from yamaha fzr ( I don't know the exact models as I got it second hand from another "SOHC4:er". Since my bike (CB500Four) in converted to rear disc, the brake side was just making a bracket for the master cylinder.

i know this is a old topic put after looking at it i am just gonna make mine when i am done i will put them up so every one can see.

No.. no.. The RAASKs are pretty good. I've hand them on my bikes.
I understand from some of the VRRA guys, that they like to use them becuase they are "disposable" and plenty around.
If they smack them up at the track, its no big deal as most of them have a few sets in their boxes.

The Tarrozzi are really nice but fairly more expensive.. more for a "pretty show" bike than a track/street bike.
+ holding a set side by side, the Tarrozzi's seem to be a bit heavier...(not that it really matters in the big scheme of things..)
