where to find customizable throttle cables?

ok guys, I'm looking for some customizable throttle cables. I'm referring to ones that you can cut to the desired length and sodder on the included barrel end. jcwhitney has them but their customer service rep says it could take up to 3 to 4 weeks for any of the ones they offer to be shipped. anyone got any tips?

You can customize any throttle cables. I buy mine at a local shop and have them shortened there, but could do it myself if I had to. Just need a bunsen burner, a container to melt the pewter in and the right end (could probably melt the pewter off the applied end and redip that after shortening the cable). I watched my last set get done, nothing really too crazy about it.

Any good MC restoration shop will have the setup to do this... ask around. I went to a meeting of my local antique MC club, posed the question and more than a few guys offered to hook me up.
