Which powdercoat for mufflers?

Been Around the Block
Ok so I have a '75 CB360 and with the acquisition of a parts bike, I want to get the MAC exhaust mufflers changed to a glossy/semigloss black. I went to my powder guy with the parts. He took my mufflers but wanted me to ask around first about the temperature that these mufflers will see before picking a particular powder:

If High Temp powder coat is used, it is 2x as expensive and his oven can only cure the parts to 500 degrees. A proper curing process would need to cook the parts to 1000 degrees or so. If the mufflers will not see this temperature (i.e. curing the mufflers "on" the running bike), then it is useless.

If regular powder is used, and temperatures stay within range, it can be cured completely, but once temperatures hit 400 or so, the stuff will melt off.

So what temperature range will the mufflers see during normal operation?

definitely not near 1000... maybe right at the ports, but not much farther then that. i think most guys use ceramic... which is the only stuff i would use.
