Which throttle to buy?

Hi guys!

I'm currently in the early stages on restoring and changing my first older bike, a Honda CB 400 F from 77.

I've got the original 7/8 inch handlebar and want to keep that, but would like to get rid of the handle bar switch.

My question goes, which push/pull throttle can I buy, that is plug and play with the previous cables and so?
I've looked up some on ebay, but I can't seem to figure out if they will fit. What will I need to think about?

Example of what I was considering buying:

Maybe others have had better experiences, but Motion Pro can be spotty, especially in terms of things such as cable vs housing length and durability. I tend to keep my handlebar switches stock when I can, but maybe someone else has a better recommendation for something non-OEM.

I have a 400F that I ran with the stock carbs and a single pull only cable and a Yamaha twist grip. I have CR's on it now and have gone back to the Honda throttle grip and a two cable push - pull system as the CR's originally have a tremendous spring return that needs reducing and I wanted the return cable for safety. Jut promoting the single cable conversion for the stock carbs - I ran it like that for years and never had an issue so no doubt you can use any throttle assembly you like and not be restricted with a push-pull setup.

You want to make sure that they're for 7/8" bars, of course. Honda still carries OEM grips for 400F bikes, for about $15 for the set. I like them, but there are certainly more modern (comfortable, in some people's eyes) out there as well.

I will make sure to take a notice that they'll fit 7/8 bars! I haven't decided on the gribs yet.

I guess it's also going to be a concern how much the throttle can turn, how much it opens?

Yes this should be a concern too, there are domino grips which are 'fast action'gas grips, half turn full throttle.
There is a formula to calculate...maybe some of the pro's here can help :)
