New member, old scootertrash from Johnston, SC (sorta back up in the woods, not too far from Augusta, GA). Currently riding an '07 Triumph Bonneville Black while slowly rejuvenating Martha, my beloved '71 BMW Ratracer. And yeah, I bought the Triumph (back when I had a 401K) to have something to ride while Martha was laid up for much-needed long term maintenance. I've also got a '77 XS400 tucked in the back of the shop, waitin for Martha to let go of the toolcart.

Aint much with a camera, but here's an old Marthapic:

The heads are off at a raceprep shop, I've got another tank to go in her and I'm blacking out the shocks and tail lights. The seat is bare steel, off an old Mustang scooter. I'm having it stripped and blued, like my old .45. More pix when I find the camera.....

In Sarasota myself, recently laid of 33 yr old Boatbuilder with a lot of Time on my hands in the land of the old and the dying.
Hit me up if you wanna do some riding. I'm also doing a bike night the third Thursday of every month. Ice cold beer burgers, a bad ass house band and a killer backalley vibe. It's at P'mans classic cycle paint in Bradenton.

My name is Mark
I live in Birmingham, Alabama [Actually Trussville which is a suburb]
I work in the power industry and I design air pollution control systems for fossil fuel plants. Yes I am working as hard as I can to give everyone clean dependable power, so you don't have to pedal a stationary bike to post on dotheton.com. ;D

My wife rides a 2006 Suzuki S40 thumper, which may get the cafe treatment soon. She is vertically challenged. :)

I ride a 2001 Triumph Bonneville with a lot of cafe touches on it. You can see it and some of my other recent bikes in my introduction thread:

http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=19605.0

If anyone is in the Central Alabama Area, give me a heads-up and we can plan a ride.

I am currently looking for my next project bike.

Welcome Irish. A bunch of us were just down in your neck of the woods for Barber, see ya next year.
You do realise that hanging around with these guys will corrupt you into buying a bunch of old "project bikes" right? :)

Welcome to the dirty John and Voch!
John: A 500-4 is an excellent start. I wish you the best of luck in acquiring it. I believe Flugtechnic might be close to you somewhere and I know there are others. As far as the yankee thing... Not a big deal. Just don't tell anyone else. ;)
Voch: Nice 550 dude. Have you started a project thread over in Big Arse Projects yet? And good for you on MMI. Are you planning on wrenching for a living?
