Who owns this bike and how were these bars mounted??

I have admired this bar set-up and tried to find the owner directly but have been unable to.

Can someone help?

Below are a couple of the owners pictures and the inverted risers, any help contacting the owner or someone that knows how to get the clubmans behind the forks is appreciated:

Thanks!

Search for "mysta2", or better yet, go to www.dropbars.com. Kit is a great guy and that bike was the inspiration that got me into cafes.

Btw, I think he said he had to notch the bars to clear the forks.

Ditto here too. Great inspiration. The triple tree brackets were simply mounted under the top plate. Thats an old post. Good times, great bike.

I've sat on this bike a million times. Kit and I have had many of witty arguments about the safety of what he did. I still contend that it's a horrible idea, wobbly and unsafe. Yes, he did machine notches out to make it work.

That said, yes, it looks amazing. He's put many miles on the bike with no trouble at all. Kit is really tall and the positioning fits him perfectly. I'm short, and it's uncomfortable.

I think some nice clip-ons from Roc-City or Swagger is a better solution.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I have had the same thoughts as far as the safety of the inverted risers, and the notched bars as well. The level of comfort (I am only 5'11'') would be another thing to think about. Either way, I dig the look.

Couldnt you get a bend put in the bar instead of notching them? Or at least get the notch welded shut so its still as strong as it was before.

I thought the same thing, I have yet to hear back from Mysta, maybe he did. I think one of the safety issues from the bars comes from the fact that the inverted risers have to be angled towards the gas tank(and im assuming the angle was given by trimmed bushings around the risers, thus having a bit more play.
