Who rocks a kilt?

It does get damn hot here in the summer and when working around the yard in jeans. Shorts aren't always appropriate or good looking. A friend showed me this site and I am serious thinking about getting at least one to try for the summer.

If you look at the videos, there is a guy welding, grinding, etc in one and hes got these cool grieves on his legs. I think it would be just as good... Better! than any pair of pants.

I hate baggy jeans, they look sloppy. Shorts are only good for the pool with all the stupid designs they have on if I want anything but khaki or denim.

Anyone else rock kilts even if on occasion?

I've got a few, and wear them on occasion. Don't have a utilikilt but I've read some pretty positive reviews on them.

My Avatar probably says it all about my feelings on the subject ! Clan Crawford.

As to working in one ? Even a utility version, not so sure. Lying on your back under a car / bike knees in the air might scare the locals if you know what I mean !

That said, most of the Highland regiments fought in Kilts during WW1. The Germans called them "Devils in Skirts".

I only wear one when accessorized with a claymore and a dirk. Not really a garage friendly ensemble.

Not under car wrenching, playing with a bike, milling around town, to shows, taking your lady out and just around the house even?

utilikilt at Burning Man. It's hot in the desert. Got to let things breathe if you know what I mean

I am not Scottish but my best friend is... needles to say when he got married we all had them on for the day.
I have to tell ya don't knock it till you've tried it. I actually liked it, its supper comfortable and it drove every cougar in the place nuts!

But -1 for working in it, you could get hurt.

Hahahaha! Seriously, are you kidding me?
Fucking ugly, if you ever want to get laid, don't wear this shit ;)

I seriously think that's by far the most ridiculous piece of garment i've ever seen.
If you think baggy's or shorts look sloppy, how can you think this doesn't? It's like baggy shorts, with one leg hahaha

Thanks guys, I just gotta save up for one now.

I do all the time, even when doing metal work as long as it is not grinding or welding. But I am kinda biased as I make my own and have sold a few in the past.

As for the ever get laid comment. I have trouble thinking of a time I have gone out in mine and not gotten laid. I wear them to concerts and can't make it an hour without some other group of woman lifting for a look or getting a good feel to make sure I am wearing it right 8)

Makes for a good time and great in the heat.

These are not utilikilts are they ;) For me there is a big difference, i do like the traditional and cultural value of a real kilt. And whooo, 200 dollars for a skirt? Rather buy nice parts for that amount of money :)

But hey, no hard feelings, just giving a girls opinion ^^
