Who Would You Race?

So I am a fireman and as I sit here at the fire station today has been fairly slow. We pulled out one of the old faithful movies to watch on a day like today. Fight Club it was. Well some of you may have never seen this movie but in my opinion its a good one. In a certain scene in the movie there is a topic that comes up of if these two guys could fight anyone in history who would it be. So here is the question WHO WOULD YOU RACE? And if you want what two people. Lets say they were born pre 1940 so 1939 or 1540 any time before 1940. I myself would want to race either John Wayne because his movies were always a go to for me and my Dad while growing up and I still watch them all the time. And Steve McQueen because like the previous mention he was one of my favorite actors. And as we know he loved to ride and stories have been told of him doing not only his part riding the motorcycle in the Great Escape but also dressing up as a German solider part which was chasing him in some of the scenes! So who you got?

Well, I was going to say Mike Hailwood and Joey Dunlop. But having been in a few races with Joey and as soon as the flag dropped that was the last I saw of him I think I'd prefer to race someone I know I could beat (and there's not a whole lot of them around).
