Deal is 20-50% off 'regular' Cycle World prices, i.e. hardly a deal at all.
This is how the McBride's sale started. It took a while (like a couple of weeks) for the deals to get good. I paid $25 for a set of Progressive springs for my BMW front end as an example. 75% off at the end. Got some Oakley sneakers for $30 a pair too.
It's a shame I wasn't more knowledgeable on British exhausts, as they had lots of old stuff in boxes. If I'd had more money at the time I might of snapped up a bunch of stuff to sell but I was about to buy the BMW at the time.
Not sure what we'll find at Cycle World. Will drop in sometime next week if the sale is still on. Maybe snag a new helmet or something.
The other nice thing I bought at McBride's was a vintage 1970's BMW print of the R90S that was hanging in their BMW showroom. Framed and all for $25 if I recall.
Just scooped the last 18" Spitfire for $86 total. A 120/90 rear with the raised white lettering. Decent deal. Lots of batteries left. All the cheap 530 chains are gone. Should've bought one last week for $30. Everything except fluids for 30% off. Some leathers are 50% off.
Shoot - at the McBride's sale fluids were on sale too. I bought my friend a set of Metzelers for a KZ1300 for $110 all-in - BOTH tires. Lasertec's I think.
Was at CWW today picking at the carcass. I thought I scored the last 18" Spitfire but I was wrong. There's a 110/90 18 rear, sticker price $103 less 40%. That's a bargain. Someone's got to need a new rear tire. Will fit most 70s Japanese bikes.
Tire selection in popular sizes is getting thin. I didn't see any other 18 inchers. Lots of batteries left. All the cheap 530 chains are gone. I got a 530 X-ring for my Blackbird. Lots of decent helmts left.
Think I might be looking at a new helmet. Mine is getting old - about 7 years now I think so it's time to replace it anyhow (not that you or Noel would understand replacing a helmet based on age!)
