Why in the F*** can't I find the "$40 rearsets"?

Been Around the Block
I kept reading on the 'net that I can find a pair of serviceable, used rearsets for my KZ650 for about $40 on ebay. I know- they would be FZR or Gixxer rearsets. All I can find is $50 for right or left side or pairs for MUCH higher than $40. I am willing to spend a C-note; however, I would rather NOT.

Any help?

HA! I told a friend he could use em' but I havent gotten the cash and I think hes given up on the bike so... Ill check and get back to ya this week.

I hope they aren't being used...

I will have to make a bracket for them to be used (as I need to clear the kicker), but it seems like this is the only way for me to relocate my brake linkage. Even with doing this dance for brake linkage relocation, the Gixxer arm ended up being much cheaper than having my KZ arm stretched. No local shoppe wanted to touch it ??? , nor could I find a source on the net to stretch it.

i may have an estra shifter side from a GSXR i will have to look for you

Thanks, and I may take you up on that. I was thinking of using the rearsets as basically a means to install a rear brake lever. I need to make certain I clear the kicker, as there will be NO e-start. But if I can figure out how to make rearsets work with a kicker, I definitely want to do that.

Depending on how much offset I need for the front sprocket, I may also add an outside bearing support. All of these mods may change the game plan on the KZ...
