why is my caliper bolt now suddenly hitting the disk?

Been Around the Block
ive just assembled the front end and found the front wheel didnt spin...not a good sign. thought i had somehow install the speedo drive wrong or something...nup thats foolproof.
looked closer and its the end of the caliper bolt going to far into the caliper and hitting the disk. from the parts fiche i cant see any washers on these bolts...just straight up bolt to caliper action. have i installed the wheel bearings or seals incorrectly?
all the axle spacers are there in there rightful spots too. would it be anything to do with the brake leaver getting squeezed whilst the caliper was off the bike...have i over extended the piston and now the whole things out of whack?

any suggestions are welcome

Pictures are gona be the best way to get feedback to your question.

But I have a similar problem, and my best guess was a lack of a washer or spacer on the axle. On mine, the caliper bracket is squeezed flush between the fork tube and the brake rotor. I figured 4mm of washer would fix that.

ok well a mistake anyone could make. in my excited rush to get the forks bolted on I did not notice in my bolt tray that of the 10 same size/look bolts 2 were actually shorter which were meant for the caliper.
found them in the triples and swapped em out...boom problem solved.

I always seem to get tripped up by silly things like this.

thanks guys...carry on

This is why I've learned to bag all nuts/bolts removed when doing multiple jobs at the same time.

haha yeah I know I should of...but hindsight is a wonderful thing
