Beautiful bike man. Lines look really nice, everything flows great. I like the roll strapped to the frame rail, may have to do something like that myself

is the bottom side of that triple nice and flat like that as well? looking for a triple for my XV that's flat so I can properly mount my bar risers, currently running that stock gsxr one and just haven't felt comfortable about the way its mounted on the bottom.

Would the gsxr 1000 front end and your hub fit my 72 cb750? Im looking to do an upgrade on mine and your design work with that hub/front end combo would make my life much much easier. If so id be interested in the triple trees and the hubs as well.

This hub will work for that fork but I'm not sure what all is involved to fit that for to that bike. I actually have a cb750 and a gsxr fork project waiting to be started.

I look forward to following that project as well. I've been reading over both of your builds and there is a ton of great stuff and ideas that I would like to utilize during my build. How long before you start working on it?

It will be a while. Have to recover from this build.

This is what I have so far

This is probably the easiest thing you did here...bit how did you decide to mount that seat? I have an idea for the rear, but still trying to figure out the front.

I bought this rivet nut tool and I put a rivet nut into the seat then ran a screw through a frame tube

I guess you would easily be able to bolt through the frame to the riv nut since you have a custom frame that better fits the interior width of the seat...

For the rear I was going to weld on a flat bar and then make some small brackets to connect the existing holes to that bar. Is that close to what you did?

So I was able to pick up a 2006 Gsxr 1000 complete front end( trees, forks, calipers, clip ons, controls, fender, rotors) plus front and rear wheels with semi new tires for $330. Talk about great deal, now i have to make this conversion work.

Ive been looking at your earlier posts( and all over the internet) about a cb750 fitting a 190 and no luck. MY question to you is the following.

How much wider is the fork on the 750 in comparison to the fork on your 550?

The wheels are the same and the tires arent much different so maybe you can help me out wit this.
(from shop manuals)
CB750-- 18 inch wheel , 100mm tire

CB550-- 18 inch wheel, 95mm tire.

So I'm I ordered a gsxr 1000 wheel to match the front not realizing how massive it really is. Looks completely ridiculous for a 50hp bike. But still looks bad ass to me. This will require some kind of custom swing arm. To bad cause I bought it cause I figured going with gsxr wheels would be cheaper than custom spoked wheels.

I'm just going to throw some loud pipes on it so it sounds fast

My build CB750 http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=38755

The cb750 does has a box type swing arm so the 190 will not fit. I have a 180 stretched around a 4.5" rim. I should go down to a 160 but the 180 was free.

I'm not really following the front fork width question. Pm me and ill shoot you my phone number.
