Winter project CB550

Gorgeous bike man! Thanks again for your help with my rearsets.. Your bike is a huge inspiration towards getting my project completed.

That's the rivet nut tool. Two at the top towards tank and one at the cowl.

Thanks. I love how the seat sits over the rails and not on top. I'm not sure I have the ability to chop 2" off the front like you did. Nice work.

Very cool bike!

I can see on the last Pictures that you added a "shorty" muffler. Looks very cool. This looks to be the "straight through" type? What did you end up doing to reduce the noise as you mentioned earlier? I guess that the shorty muffler does not make it much quieter?

Yeah, it cut out the droning from the straight through pipe. It's not a ton quieter but helps

I was kindly nominated for bike of the month so if you've liked this build please go vote!!!

Since I lack any ability to take a picture, I had photographer friend Sera Petras take some pictures for me. http://serapetras.com/

My wife doubled as a model for me too! Hope everyone enjoys these as much as I do.

Great pics, this whole project has been very inspiring, and well documented.

What spokes are you using in your front and rear wheels?

On the rear I believe I read you were using a rim made for a Harley. Were there any compatibility issues as far as spoke thickness?

Think you have done a great job on this and your 750 build. What do you have planned next?

Your photog did great work. Your wife is a doll. I showed my wife and she tells me, "I want my cb to look like that". Good luck with BOTM. You know how I voted.
