Wire amps size

Started wiring bike to day quick question I've got power 30amps wire to ignition from fuse box then black wire from ignition back to fuse box does this wire have to be 30 amps also or can it be 16 amps

Usually wires are rated by gauge, not by amp.

14 gauge wire will be large enough for anything except the starter motor, for most bikes.

It looks like it's 18 gauge will this be ok .Just looked at a convertion chart

18 should cover most of the circuits, but anything higher load (charging circuit, main switch, headlight, coils) should be 16 or even 14.
