Wires through cafe bars?

Has anyone tried fishing a 70's-era Honda's stock control wiring through cafe bars? The sharp angle looks like it may be a BEYOTCH to get them past (if not outright impossible).

Just checking before I waste a few hours (and/or ruin my wiring) trying to force the wires through a bend they may not be able to accommodate. If I have to, I'll grind slots in the switch housings, but I'd prefer to keep the cleaner, internal mounting if possible.

Thanks in advance...

I tried to run mine though my clubmans, but it turned out my bars were not hollow all the way through. I ended up running them on the outside.

They were from DCC... I bought them over a year ago, but I think this is the one?

I did it on mine. Total pain in the ass, but looks nice.

The usual way is to just use a length of wire (aluminum craft wire is fine) - just wrap one end securely around the wires you want to "fish" through the bars and leave plenty of length to pass through the bars and wrap around a stick to give you leverage. Then pull the aluminum "fish wire" and carefully draw the actual wiring through along with it. ASSUMING, of course, that the bars are hollow all the way through (which it sounds like I now have to check). This technique can be used for the frame as well - it's MUCH easier to fish the stiffer, aluminum wire through the various bends and twists, and if you mangle it along the way and/or have to grab the end with pliers to finish the job no harm done to the delicate wires and/or connections.

Notching the housings are looking more and more attractive every second... I can just wrap the wires in braided sleeving and they'll look pretty good. ASSUMING of course that I can figure out how the hell to re-assemble my LH switch assembly, of course (see: http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=37354.0)...

Will advise if they're hollow or not - thanks!
