I know there was a thread a while back, but I can't seem to find it. You guys have any tips for running the wires through those pesky, not-quite-big-enough holes on handlebars? WD40? Crisco? Hella patience?
Stock handlebars? You'll probably want a pull line. Run 1 wire through the wrong way, attach it to all the others by wrapping the whole mess with a lot of tape, keeping the diameter small and pull them through.
Patience. I ran new wiring through my Honda bars back when I did up my 550. I bought new controls from Honda.
It's really just the one side (left on the 550) with all the wires. The side with just the start button, kill and maybe lights is just a few wires and easy.
Lubricate - not sure I'd use WD40. Some light grease might do better or silicone lubricant. Might try plumbers grease (Home Depot) - it's really fine light grease.
