Won a beauty of a fender. Not sure if it works on my bike.

Fix

With a shirt like this, who needs pants?

Won this heavy duty aluminum beauty from 7-metal-west.

Forgive the cocked angle on the second shot. I've just got it propped up a bit on some foam.

I'm thinking of moving it forward a bit so it doesn't stick out quite so far.

I tried it with the solo seat I have on there now and didn't care for the look at all.

What do you guys think?

For my lowly opinion, it's got a very thin and vintage look, which contrasts with the chunkier, more modern lines of the tank and seat. And that's not doing it for me.

You could make it work as part of an overall makeover of the bike, but as-is, I'd give it a pass myself.

Got my hoop made, this is what I'm looking at with the fender. Only thing is, now I want to get a brat seat.

Personally, I think it's perfect. I might start looking for tank options. I think everything fits and flows... And the tank is great. But, I think by this point I would go the extra mile and find something perfect. Something you'll probably never find another xs1100 with. And if you do, You know that person was thinking...

I have an 18 "yamaha shaft mag. it's slightly different than a straight spoke. It's the one I had on the rear of the xv920 for a bit.I's a seca Turbo rearwheel. Would you dig something like that? I'm not trying to sell it too you. If you would dig it, I might just send it over... The parts over here are getting deep. And my shafty build is coming to a close.

No thanks, man. I kinda dig the wheels I've got.

I wish I was an upholsterer though...

Seat is NOT doing what I want.

Doesn't do it for me either
How wide is it?
I think it would look better on front and find something slightly wider for rear.

Yeah, I'm realizing I'm out of my league with upholstery. Can you PM me his contact info? I thought I got it at your house last year, but it's not in my phone.

Well the good news is my throttle cable came in. I put the bike together, and got a real ride in for the first time since I fixed the pickup wire on the timing....

HOLY SHIT!

I don't think this bike has ever run right, and I just didn't realize it due to the ample power it had. The combination of the engine running like it should, and that butter smooth throttle...I'm grinning just thinking about it.

Being my first bike, I didn't realize it wasn't supposed to act like it did. It had top end, but it's never had this much grunt off the line.

I'm a happy camper.
