Been Around the Block
Capitol Hill. You?
We should meet up for a ride sometime. My only friend into cafes' just blew his piston rings and gaskets so he is out for the count.johnny gaijin said:queen anne side of the fremont bridge. luckily i've got an off street parking spot so i don't worry too much about my bike getting boosted. i'd definitely lock it up on capitol hill.
i say that now but when i think of it i lived in the u-district and capitol hill and parked my bike on the street w/o locking up and never had a problem.
once i found somebody had moved it onto the curb (i guess to steal my parking spot?) but that's about it. if i had to do it again i'd definitely lock up though!
bike looks rad, good job. fast job too!
imseamless said:So its been a while since I've updated, but I have been busy! Rode the bike 60 miles last weekend and after a bit of troubleshooting, figured out I was running lean. Pulled the carbs again and found that one of my float bowl gaskets had been pinched in half. Rejetted the mains to 90's and bought some silicone gasket maker to fix carb three's gasket. Currently waiting for that stuff to dry. The tube says 12 hours... But I'm probably going to run it around the block in 2 or 3 hours. I'm just sitting here watching the shit dry.
Not too much. I took the main jets up to 90's and fixed that gasket with the silicone crap. Let it sit up for a bit and took it for a ride. Aside from almost going down on a bunch of sand that was left on a corner from what I assume to be for the ice, I went on a bit of a ride. Froze my ass off and rode for a good 30 minutes and it started back firing so I parked it and got a coffee. After letting it sit for about 20 minutes I was able to get it back to the garage. That was last weekend and I haven't had a chance to work on it again.jsedacca said:Any updates on the carb/jetting?

First think I plan to do is pull the carbs again. I noticed I was leaking gas from the overflow on the float bowl of carb 1 and 4, so maybe my needle or floats are sticking (which I find unlikely because I just cleaned all that shit). Next I need to check the valves, but need to buy some feeler gauges to do so. Also might replace the condenser, as a mechanic friend told me that could be the issue. Also need to check the timing, but am a bit confused by the instructions from the manual. Still looking around the interwebs for a good tutorial on that.
Any ideas?

I've been using the "Shop Manual" I found here: http://www.honda4fun.com/man_officina/man_officina.htmlHoosier Daddy said:Are you using the factory service manual?

I know I know, I haven't been around lately. I've been working a lot and my truck has been running really poor so I was a little frightened to drive all the way down to my bike.jrknecht said:BEN!! Where are the updates? haha. How is the bike you get it running proper?
