Wrinkle Paint

Quick question with regard to wrinkle paint (to be put on motor).

Do you clear over it? If so, what effect does it have on the finish.

Just use Harleys engine paint. Tough as nails but it costs a bit.

Clearing over a wrinkle just fills in the wrinkles and makes it smooth and glossy if you use a gloss clear. Harley has used 3-4 different textured blacks on their motors over the last 15 years. There's an H-D Wrinkle Black, a Screaming Eagle Wrinkle Black, a Harley Black Texture. S&S has their own wrinkle also. All have been duplicated in powder.
