Looking for any of the old g4/g5 100cc 5-port jug/head/ maybe piston top ends. any model 75-82. if anyone has a decent set i would much appreciate it :0) its okay if its a little rough, i will be sand blasting, and oversizing as needed.

I found them plentiful and cheap on eBay... I bought a NOS 5 port cylinder for $135, head for $30 cast pistons are about $30 too but I think I'll opt for a new forged one from Wiseco.
If you are not fussy about the actual look of the topend, a KE100 will bolt up and they were offered until 2003

you're awesome, guy! i picked up this bike and started doing research on other people's builds. you have one of the three most notable and helpful threads that i have come across. i will be purchasing one of your g3 pipes sometime in the next year. thanks for the tip, i have been scouring ebay, so far i have found new NOS cylinders for 3-400... and a couple of used cylinders for around 60. also, when buying a new weisco piston, what do i need to keep in mind as far as which one to get, aren't some of them from the "seisco era"?

Yeah, I've been warned about the NOS Wiseco's too.. They make them now for 82 and up KE's the only difference is those cylinders are Nicasil plated.
As long as they are chromed cast iron rings, I can't see why they wouldn't work though??
I really need to call them directly to know for sure the type of rings they are using.
I'm a bit leery about using cast pistons on a motor that I know will be buzzed on a regular basis but that will be my 2nd choice.
Cool on the pipe! :)

right on, thats good to know. I'll have to look into it. I have a 1974 g3ss(d?), supposedly they have the 100cc cases on them, which i can't say i know for sure, but they do look different than the earlier model cases at first glance. they look more similar to the ke100 cases with the circular intake/air filter port on the top of the motor, not the bolt on style cases. also they have the same side covers as the ke100 instead of the old style with the out-dent cup thing over the carb. i'll figure it out eventually.

A bit more expensive than what I paid but here is an NOS 5 port cylinder... ;)

Just as a note, he has it listed as 70-75 but it sure looks like the 5 port that is 74-81... Best to ask the seller for a shot of the bottom of the barrel, just to be certain if you are interested.

actually, theres a place in Lynnwood, WA where i live called Bent Bike, bike junkyard basically, i managed to find that exact cylinder, 76 kv100 aluminum. not nos, but good condition! paid $50 for it. Can i use my stock g3 head with it? and, what have you done as far as your piston so far? from what i gather from your thread, the later model cylinders are 7mm taller, and require a piston to match. i haven't measured yet, but i would like to find a newer weisco forged piston rather than risking an NOS one.

This is Morrie Burkman . STOP < YOU MUST CALL HIM BEFORE YOU PROCEED

I have done business with Morrie since the '70's , He is the local Wiseco dealer , does all the boring for the local dealers and builds wheels . He also has the largest stock of NOS pistons on the west coast ,

If you want to know more PM a ph#
