WTB: CB350 Stator (crap wrong forum... meant buying)

Looks like my stator is shot, anyone have a parts bike that they'd sell a stator for CHEAP?

Debating on bucking up for the new/rewound rick's version from DCC (200 bucks) or just get another used one to get me rolling....

Please let me know what you got! Really appreciated

Hey mate, I may have a spare one. I picked up a '72 cb350 engine that was toast. Valve snapped at high speeds and chewed out the inside of the cylinder. Graced the insides with lovely layers of metal confetti to ensure it's moment of glory was never forgotten.

Anyhow I picked it up for spare parts and now I'm using it a guide to learn how the insides all come together. Nice to know so I don't mess up my good engine when I actually get around to a serious rebuild.

I don't think I'll be needing the stator though. I'll see what the condition looks like and post up a pic if youre interested.

Hey Chewy. So sorry for the long wait! Here's what I managed to pull from the box of parts. The previous owner tore off the plug at the end of the wires and I havn't been able to pick it out among the parts. I'll keep looking to see if I can find it so you don't have to slice anything up.

Cool beans, wires are meant to be re-wired, soldered and heat shrink wrapped anyways!

How is 20 for the stator? I wouldn't be needing it, but it'll help compensate for the 100 I spent on the blown motor.

And I'm pretty close to you man, I'm up in Fullerton a few times a week. Lets meet or something and talk cafe! I think you were working on a cl350 build which is what I have going.

It was a good meet Aaron. Sorry about your headlamp man! You've got me re-inspired on my build again, so I've spent a good hour or so hunting online for goodies.

I wish you were closer Tom, I wouldn't mind picking up a '69 frame someday, if only to legally rock some black plates.

May be interested in your manifolds though, did you still have those?
