Does it need to be a CB tank? I have a CL360 tank that has a few dents on the outside but is perfect inside.

you know..... I don't know the difference between the CB and CL from that year. You have any pics?

I'm almost 99.999% sure they are the same, minus paint colors.

Longer seat, shorter tank

CB:
Shorter seat, longer tank

They will interchange, but you will have to compensate with the seat.
