Well guys and gals,
We made it through the launch! Herm and I are recovering from the loss of sleep no doubt, but it's all proving worth it! You guys have been awesome and it's been such a pleasure providing products to all of you! We we able to reach 46 countries in 48 hours. Simply amazing!
A couple of quick things...
We wanted to touch base on the freight charges. We have found a few items that were pulling incorrect feeds from USPS which was causing freight to be a tad high. That system issue has been corrected. That said, if you shied away from something due to the freight cost please check it again, we're confident those handful of items are inline now.
As for having stock on hand, given the initial amount of orders we recived, we depleted the majority of our stock and have been replenishing it since. We wanted to say thanks for being understanding when it comes to hanging on to an order for a few days allowing us to ship it complete. It helps us with keep costs in line as well as cuts down on the paper work. As we begin to grow our inventory will follow and we should be able to turn orders for most items same or second day after receipt.
We've gotten a few requests for items we don't show on the site. Keep 'em coming. If there is ANYTHING you need for ANY model bike whether it be an OEM or bolt on accessory please let us know. We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to provide them. The few people who have hit us up have been quite surprised that we were not only able to get it, but that the cost was less than they expected.
We're working daily to add new items to the site and as such added a New Products section. This category will continually rotate. After an item has been in there for 15-20 days it will cycle out. All the while though, it's located in it's correct location on the site. We thought this would help for some of you who just want to pop in and see what's new without having to dig into the entire site.
Feedback...keep it coming. Things like site speed, layout, etc.. We want to hear it all. You guys are helping us shape the site and we want it to be the way you guys want it!
A few of you have emailed about the rewards points system. In short, you buy stuff and you get points. A certain amount of points is worth a buck at checkout which you can apply towards anything in your shopping cart. Although everyone is earning points right now we have not yet set the redemption value, we're still working on the software with the company who produces it. They're in Denmark so it's been kind of difficult... Just know that you're all earning points and at somepoint in the near future will be able to redeem them. Also, you can use the refer link from your account profile when logged in. If someone you refer to the site follows that email and hits the site and places an order you guys get additional points.
We've also been getting a lot of pings on the social media we're throwing out there. We're trying to keep things lively between Twitter, FaceBook and Myspace in addition to the DCC Blog. Is there anything you guys would like to see on the BLOG in specific? We were thinking about starting to build refernece guides for the different models and some tech files. Is that stuff you guys would be interested in seeing? Any other ideas?
Aside from that we just want to say "Thank You." You guys are awesome and we're working hard to grow this business into something that will help the community as a whole and we couldn't do it without all of you!
