Been Around the Block
Hi everyone,

While its pretty easy to get online parts retailers to ship to Canada, it can cost a fortune and most stores cater mainly ton their US customers. To add to that customs and brokerage fees can make purchasing parts through the US crazy expensive.

I wanted to purchase a carb rebuild kit from BikeBandit the other day and the cost of shipping was more expensive than the part itself.

Furthermore, its sometimes hard to find buyers and sellers on DoTheTon because its hard sift through hundreds of posts to find a few Canadian sellers.

As such, it would be greatly beneficial if we had a separate Canadian section for Buy/Sell/Trade & Online Sales.

What do the admins/mods/users think?

When ordering from the states the least expensive, generally fast about 3 to 8 days. is through USPS.

NOT UPS!

The United Stated Postal Service has a brokerage agreement with Canada Post. The Brokerage fees are included in the postage.

I regularly order from various site in the States and always request USPS. Its Fast, inexpensive, and Trackable.

for carb rebuild kits Serius has many of them.

in Canada and always shipping. Free delivery in the Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph area too!

The problem is that a lot of the time retailers don't allow USPS as an option.

Anyways, my issue isn't the lack of Canadian options (that's an entirely different problem) but someplace to store this information permanently. A sticky would be nice. Because let's face it, forum search engines aren't the greatest and after a while even Google throws up so many results that you might just miss that one great thread that has exactly what you're looking for. A sticky thread would serve as a giant source for information on parts in Canada.

An entire section for Canada would serve the added benefit of being able to more easily and efficiently find other DTT members who'd like to buy/sell/trade.
