I picked up an Xs 650 a while ago and getting needles n seats next week so I should her fired soon, I didn't wanna start cutting n such till I heard her run so now Id Love some advice on what n what not to do, This is my first real build and I have access to a pretty dam good fab shop that a good friend runs. Im doing this on the cheap and want it cool n simple, Something similar to the bottom pic, Not sure what to do about all the wiring and crap Do I rewire the whole thing? Super excited about this, any suggestions are welcome Thanx guys!
Thank you sir!!! The thread about posts for discounts might have thrown a few off but IM NOT THAT GUY, Just new to building bikes and not afraid to break shit and ask dumb questions along the way!
I bought pods for my xs400 and they keep squeezing off the back of the carbs so I went back to stock filters. and battery box. The down side is I cut off the tabs that hold on the side covers so I can't cover up the stock filters any more. Just something to keep in mind
That's beautiful ;D Im thinking the same being everything works, Im not patient enough nor do I have the know how to start from scratch! Just subtle changes to make er perty
Curious about the 29 1/2 seats, Wondering how different guys strap em down and do I cut these rear mounts? Speedfourjoe That seat n tail light is farkn cool!!!! Did you buy or build it??
'80 and up are kinda weird in the rear frame area, so you might have more trimming to do there. That seat on my '75 is a Suzuki T250 pan with part of a CB350 gas tank used for the bum stop. The tail light is a basic Lucas style light.
Niiiiice Now you got me thinking Here in California we have the Long Beach vintage swap meet once a month and stuff like that for fabrication is abundant You wouldn't believe some of the builds here.... Some better than others!
