I've spent countless hours staring into the abyss that is the electrical debacle on my '80 XS650. I'm so lost. I have the manual. I've traced my lines. I want to throw up. GIVE ME WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND WISDOM.
What he said. If you're having charging issues, I would recommend scraping the cash together and picking up a pma kit and a pamco ignition. It's not cheap but makes the wiring super simple and eliminates all the worn out stock charging components.crackerman said:Remove your wiring completely and make a simple harness. Start with just the starter and a button. Power to the coils, starter, add gas. That's bout it. Build up the wiring from there as far as everything else you want. Take each bit one by one and it's not to bad.
