Cheers, how do find the shock supports the bike and rider with it being mounted that way?
oh it supports them just fine- a little too well at present in fact.a stock R6 shock spring is in the realm of about 450 pounds and works at or near a 2:1 ratio.this setup is a 1:1 so a softer spring is needed.

Cheers, thats really useful to know. I was going to go mono shock on mine using an early RD/RZ swinging arm, just never really got round to doing anything about it.

Thanks for sharing the info

F.Y.I.-
Seca II swingarm also "bolts in"- that is to say remove the bosses from inside the frame where the swingarm goes through and it will slot right in- same axle diameter as the 650.
rear is a 1:1 ratio stock so it'd be easy enough get in the ballpark compliance-wise
i had one mocked up on this bike but decided i wanted the triangulated
look...
