Loving the exhaust/headpipes. Where'd you get them??

I got those at E-..y for a couple of bucks, It's a MAC 2 into 1 they were in nice shape for the price. Nice ride BTW, You can go anywhere with it, Cafe, Bobber, Brat... These little bikes are fun and easy to work with. Since this last pic i changed to clubmanbars. Iv'e been looking to purchase a set of wire wheels for my ride, it looks a little more vintage for my taste, that will be my next step as soon as i find an afordable set. Shes a 500 but same lines and inspiration, real easy to strip the wiring completely and run headlight/taillight/starter/ignition, perfect Cafe candidate!! Now get started

Sorry no pics from me, I'm still in the teardown / pit of despair mode. :'( You won't find any better inspiration pics than the ones here for a XS400 and i've looked all over the web. It looks like your half way there already. You got wire spoke wheels and clip ons. All you need now is a seat, maybe a tank and some general house keeping. Unless.....you're planning something special? :

Well, I'm sold. Getting my first bike, '77 xs400 for cheap from craig's. I was tentative, not sure I could do things with it.... let's just call this page a divine inspiration.

Justanotherguy , what did you do with your clip-ons? I may have some good trading swag! Also you just dropped the front suspension and it leveled out like that > ? Looking at mine I am thinking I am gonna have to go higher shocks in the rear in addition to dropping the front. What are your thoughts on this > actually on closer inspection it looks like the stock seat is given it a more squared off look. Guess I could drop the front and upholster the seat in such as way....
